PLEY · PLAY, LEARN AND EARN YOURSELF

Terms of Service

These terms explain how to use PLEY responsibly. PLEY is a learning game for practice and host-led quizzes.

Effective date: 1 November 2026

1. Using PLEY

These terms apply to your use of pley.fun. By using PLEY, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Questions can be sent to pley.admin@gmail.com.

If you are below the age at which you can agree to these terms in your location, use PLEY only with a parent or guardian’s permission and appropriate supervision. Teachers and organizations are responsible for permissions required for the students they invite.

2. Accounts and guest access

Use an account you are authorized to access and provide accurate information where requested. Keep your sign-in credentials, room tokens and host access links private. Do not impersonate another person. Guest access is temporary and does not provide a saved account profile or personal history; a room and its host’s report can still contain guest gameplay records.

3. Virtual chips and game rules

PLEY’s chips and points are virtual game scores. They have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for money, and do not represent a financial balance or investment. PLEY does not offer cash wagering or cash prizes through its chip system.

In the current standard classroom mode, players start with 10,000 chips. Each entered round costs 100 chips. A wrong answer deducts an additional 900 chips, making the total loss 1,000 chips for that round, subject to the player’s available balance. Not answering loses only the round entry. Correct responders share the round pot, with a small response-time weighting when timing applies. Unawarded chips can carry to the next round.

The rules and settings shown in your room govern that game. Other modes or older rooms may differ. Hosts control question flow, timing and moderation. Hosts should explain the room’s settings before starting.

For signed-in participants, chips awarded for correct multiplayer answers also build lifetime knowledge progress. Level 2 requires 2,000 lifetime knowledge chips; the next step requires another 4,000, then another 6,000, with each step increasing by 2,000 chips. Levels 1–5 are Bronze, 6–10 Silver, 11–15 Gold, 16–20 Platinum, and 21 onward Diamond. Starting balances are excluded, losses do not reduce lifetime levels, and repeated requests cannot earn the same round award twice. One player seat per account can earn progress in each room. Guests and solo practice do not earn saved knowledge chips.

4. Fair and respectful play

Follow the host’s instructions. Do not cheat, disrupt games, harass others, submit harmful or unlawful content, access another person’s account, exploit bugs, or attempt to bypass security or manipulate results. Quiz-integrity checks may flag or disqualify participants when they leave the quiz screen, depending on the device and room behavior. Calls, device settings or network interruptions can affect signals; report a disputed result to your host for review.

5. Hosts and educational use

Hosts are responsible for their question banks, answer keys, explanations, room invitations and appropriate handling of participant reports. Check imported and AI-generated questions before using them. Quiz content and automated explanations can contain mistakes.

PLEY is a practice and classroom engagement tool. Results are game records and should not be treated as independently verified examinations or a complete assessment of a student’s ability. Review answers and any technical or moderation issues before using results for a consequential educational decision.

6. Content you provide

You retain rights you hold in questions, explanations and other content you upload. You grant PLEY permission to store, process and display that content as needed to operate your quizzes and provide the service. Only upload material you have the right to use, and do not include unnecessary personal or confidential information. Room participants may view shared questions; hosts can view and export game reports.

PLEY’s name, branding, software and supplied content remain subject to their respective owners’ rights and any applicable licenses. Do not imply an endorsement or official partnership without permission.

7. External services

Google, ChatGPT and other linked services have their own terms, privacy practices and availability. Signing in with Google or ChatGPT does not provide a paid subscription or additional usage allowances for those services. PLEY currently supports bringing questions from your own ChatGPT session; it does not automatically generate them through your personal ChatGPT plan.

8. Availability and results

PLEY is provided as available. We may update features, rules or infrastructure. Network delays, outages, device behavior and software errors can interrupt games or affect timers and results. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free content or guaranteed learning outcomes. Report problems to your host or pley.admin@gmail.com.

9. Misuse and ending use

Hosts may moderate their rooms. Access may be restricted to address misuse, security risks or legal requirements. You may stop using PLEY at any time and request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. Information already shared with participants or exported by hosts may remain in their possession.

10. Rights, responsibility and changes

You are responsible for your own use of PLEY and compliance with applicable rules and laws. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, remedies or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We may update these terms as the service changes. The current version and effective date will be published here. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate notice. For questions or concerns, contact the PLEY administrator at pley.admin@gmail.com.
